INDYINK November 7th

Delton Demarest *Gimme My Stapler* opening November 7th 2008 Artist reception 7pm-11pm at INDYINK 84s. Broadway Denver, CO 80209
featuring: free beer from Great Divide, Live music from the DJ Gatsby, and giveaways from some of S. Broadways favorite local retailers.

About the Artist

Following in the footsteps of the smart car, solar power and vegans, Delton Demarest explores pop-culture icons through and untamed medium. Using spray-paint, he creates modern day impressionistic portraiture, handing the viewer images filled with the raw look of street art while keeping in touch with his fine art roots. His technique pulls from a diverse background, two seemingly different cultures which have found a collision of perfection in this talented artist.

Attending Pratt in New York and graduating Suma Cum Laude from Rocky Mountain Art and design, Delton has acquired the structured training and a professional attitude which are apparent in all bodies of work. Delton Demarest's portfolio includes albums cover design for several regional and national artists including Atmosphere of Rhymesayers Ent. Recently, Delton's work can been seen on the cover of Denver's newest paper, Insight as well as on the advertisement for the Golden Triangle Arts District's 2nd annual "Plein Air" competition.

Rock the Cradle, a funky and hip baby clothing and accessories store, will be showing works from local artists again on Friday, August 1 from 6-9 pm at 18 S Broadway in Denver.

Derek Cadena and Brent Rodgers, collectively known as Two Little Fruits, feature contemporary pop urban art with retro mid-century flair. Working in several mediums and styles, they bring a fresh and funky approach to iconic images, figures, and mod themes of the 1940’s, 50’s, 60’s, and beyond.
